Why this one

The 54 inch is the driveway hoop. It carries a real glass board and the same crank as the bigger models, but on a 7 by 7 pole with a two and a half foot overhang, so it asks for less room behind the baseline and less room in the air. If what you have is a driveway rather than a court, this is usually the one that fits without crowding the cars or the garage door. Everything above the anchor is aluminum with stainless hardware, which in Palm Beach County is the difference between a hoop that lasts and one that streaks with rust in two seasons.

  • Sized for driveways A 54 by 34 inch board on a 2.5 ft overhang. It needs less room behind the pole than the 60 or the 72.
  • A glass board, not acrylic Half inch tempered glass. The ball comes off it the way it comes off a real backboard.
  • 7 ft to 10 ft on a crank Straight up and down, so the free throw distance does not change as the height does.
